Dr. Dannielle Joy Davis

Dr. Dannielle Joy Davis is a tenured Full Professor of Higher Education at Saint Louis University.

She is the first known African American woman to earn tenure and Full Professor rank in the history of the institution’s School of Education.

A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she has studied and conducted research in South Africa, Senegal, Egypt, Togo, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Cuba, and Ghana. Her interdisciplinary research examines community engagement in STEM education, home education, and the experiences of marginalized groups. Dr. Davis is a twice-elected Chair of the American Educational Research Association’s (AERA’s) Spirituality and Education Special Interest Group (SIG) and has served as part of the leadership team for AERA’s Qualitative Research SIG. She is a member of the national Black Lives Matter in Research Working Group and has published well over 70 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, volumes, academic commentaries, and reviews. She is Editor or Co-Editor and a contributing author of the books: Black Women in Leadership: Their Historical and Contemporary Contributions (Peter Lang Publishing), Social Justice Issues and Race in the College Classroom: Learning from Different Voices (Emerald Group Publishing Ltd.), Intersectionality in Education Research (Stylus Publishing), Specialists: Passions and Careers (Universitas Press), Motherhood in Precarious Times (Demeter Press), and United We Stand: The Role of Spirituality in Engaging and Healing Communities (Information Age Publishing). Dr. Davis has also worked as Associate Editor for The International Journal of Religion and Spirituality in Society and Learning for Democracy: An International Journal of Thought and Practice. A “Society for Science and the Public” Advocate Awardee, Dr. Davis is also an Associate Investigator & Affiliated Faculty member with the SLU WATER Institute. She is a second-generation homeschooling parent and a Queen Mother within the Black community.

Dr. Jimmy J. Davies

Dr. Davies received his Honorary Doctorate Degree from the National Beauty Culturists' League, Inc., his B.S. in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Physics and a minor in Land Surveying/Topographical Drafting all from Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Michigan. In 1988, he founded MacMasters Computer Training Services, a computer training and database development company, conducting computer training workshops in more than 40 cities in a dozen states and has trained over 5,000 individuals on a wide variety of computer software. He founded Every.Black, LLC in 2018. The mission of Every.Black is to educate and inspire people to create wealth through entrepreneurship by leveraging technology (www.ComputerClasses.Black) and implementing a strategy of global marketing and networking.

Rev. Dr. Philippe SHOCK Matthews

Rev. Dr. Philippe SHOCK Matthews is a research scientist in African phenomenology residing in Sacramento, California. He is known for his work in the Digital Divide, Black Trauma, and Mental Health space as a GPT Developer ( and Prompt Engineer.

He is a trauma-informed Metaphysical Minister specializing in the diaspora, emphasizing the philosophy that "Nothing is wrong with Black People; Something Happened to Black People!" He earned his Doctorate in Metaphysical Science and Philosophy from the University of Metaphysics, Sedona.
